Chiapas, Mexico - Members of the Triunfo Verde coffee cooperative prepare for a day's work in a small village three hours driving from Jaltenango, one of the main coffee collection and processing centers in Chiapas. The animal is a great assistance to the family as they harvest coffee and corn. The cooperative sells a large quantity of their coffee to Fair Trade USA. They have used some of the proceeds from the Fair Trade premium to set up a health monitoring system for women in remote coffee growing villages, like this one.
